South United Football Club is a professional football club based out of Bangalore. The club plays in the Bangalore Super Division and has also participated in the I-League Division 2. They were the Runners Up of the Bangalore Super Division League in their first year (2012–13) itself. The team's members are all Indians with the average age being 20 years. The club was formed with the aim of becoming a platform for India’s young footballers making it the club of choice for the Indian football fan. ==History== South United Football Club was founded on 16 August 2012 in Bangalore bwith the long-term goal of providing a base for youngsters, not only in Bangalore but the entire Southern India region, to take up football as a professional career South United started their league history on 6 December 2012 in the 2012–13 Bangalore Super Division at the Bangalore Football Stadium against Army Service Corps where the club won 2–0 with former I-League player, Gunashekar Vignesh, scoring the first ever goal for the club in the 47th minute.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.deccanherald.com/content/296829/south-united-start-promising-style.html )〕 The club won their premier victory at Kolhapur with the prestigious Kedari Redekar United Cup by beating Pune FC.
